COLORADO SPRINGS — A handyman who was mistaken for a burglar and nearly shot by a police officer says he forgives the officer but thinks the situation went “a little overboard.”
Kevin Rogers says he and a colleague were changing the door locks Wednesday at a woman’s house when police officers arrived. Rogers says that at almost the same time he put his hands up, the officer fired a shot but missed him.Associated Press
