LONGMONT, Colo.—A Kmart that has been in Longmont since 1975 will close in May, affecting 59 employees.
A Kmart spokeswoman says the affected employees will get a chance to apply at other stores and will get severance if they qualify for it. The Longmont store is the only one closing in Colorado.
Kmart has 17 stores in Colorado and two SuperK stores.
A liquidation sale is expected to begin Feb. 21.
