Getting your player ready...

New Orleans offensive lineman Carl Nicks was the Super Bowl’s heaviest player, tipping the scales at 341 pounds. Imagine 12,000 of him. That’s about 4 million pounds, or how much fat the Calorie Control Council and Snack Food Association says gets consumed in potato chips alone during a typical Super Sunday. Americans ate 11.2 million pounds of potato chips, 8.2 million pounds of tortilla chips, 4.3 million pounds of pretzels, 3.8 million pounds of popcorn and 2.5 million pounds of nuts. Calories? Somewhere around 100 billion. And to think, that doesn’t include burgers, dogs, dips, guacamole or wings. Or beverages, for that matter.
