A spacecraft built by Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Colorado has revealed a record of major environmental changes on Mars.
The changes, captured by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in rock layers as tall as the Rocky Mountains, indicate Mars was much wetter billions of years ago.
One instrument involved in the study released Thursday, the high-resolution-imaging science experience, was built by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. of Boulder.
