GREELEY, Colo.—Vestas Wind Systems has an order for 33 wind turbines, which will be built at its plant in Windsor, Colo.

The order from the Granite Reliable Power Windpark in New Hampshire is the company’s first in more than a year for turbines to built in this country.

Vestas temporarily suspended production at its Windsor plant because of a slowdown in business. The 500 employees are still on the job for training and retooling the plant.

Production of the 33 turbines won’t start until the New Hampshire site is prepared for development. The turbines are scheduled for delivery next year.

The Danish wind-turbine maker has a plant in Pueblo that makes towers for wind turbines and is building two new plants in Brighton.
