A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in three stabbings in Denver last Sunday in which a 21-year-old victim died, authorities say.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested Thursday for investigation of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Gerardo Garcia, said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
Around 2:50 a.m. last Sunday, Denver police found three stabbing victims outside a home at 675 S. Raleigh St. in Denver. The address is just north of West Morrison Road and south of West Alameda Avenue.
Garcia was pronounced dead shortly after he was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, Jackson said.
Steven Maldonado, 35, and a 17-year-old boy, whose identity has not been released, were also stabbed in the incident but survived.
The case will be referred to Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey’s office for consideration of formal murder charges.
