KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES AND THEIR LINGO
Sen. Nancy Spence may be a senior citizen, but she’s one of the hippest lawmakers at the Capitol.

The two ran into each other at lunch Wednesday at a popular pizza joint east of the Capitol.
Working on praise, gloom.
The stimulus bill did put people to work — writing news releases.
E-mail boxes filled up Wednesday with either glowing accounts of how helpful the federal money has been (Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter, Colorado Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak) or reports of gloom and doom (Colorado Republican Party chairman Dick Wadhams, U.S. House GOP Leader John Boehner).
Shovel it
“Did you see all that snow on the East Coast? It looks like Washington finally found a shovel-ready project.”
