LAFAYETTE — A pair of 13-year-olds who were stealing from cars in Lafayette last weekend led police straight to the stolen loot — with footprints in the snow, police say.
The footprints, in fact, showed police that the duo approached at least 77 cars in old town Lafayette, before finding at least seven that were unlocked, police said. The trail Saturday morning eventually led police to a home. The boys confessed and gave police the items they had stolen, investigators said.
