The eastbound lanes of I-70 in Denver are now open after being shut down for several hours Tuesday afternoon due to a traffic accident.
The accident on the highway happened at about noon. Details on injuries from the accident, and the cause of the accident, were not available.
Traffic in the busy area was re-routed. Shortly after 4:20 the Colorado Department of Transportation announced that all lanes of eastbound I-70 were again open.
