The Labor Department launched a concentrated enforcement effort Tuesday for violations of minimum wage, overtime pay and child-labor laws in the restaurant and construction industries.
“During fiscal year 2010, we plan to conduct a number of investigations of restaurant and construction establishments throughout the Denver area to determine the current level of compliance,” said Chad Frasier, the Wage and Hour Division’s district director in Denver.
