WOODLAND PARK, Colo.—Imagine owning a sprawling, million-dollar home on 20 acres of land near Pikes Peak—all for $100.
The Pikes Peak Rotary Club says it’s holding a raffle for the home in hopes of raising $1 million for the local animal shelter, food banks and other groups. The drawing will be held July 9.
The 6,300-square-foot mansion west of Woodland Park has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a library and a deck with heated floor tiles. The property was appraised at almost $1 million in June 2008 and backs up to public land.
Club spokeswoman Dana Bincer says every ticket also is eligible for periodical $10,000 cash drawings. But at least 18,000 of the $100 tickets must be sold for the raffle to occur.
The deadline to get into all eight $10,000 cash drawings is 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, and winners will stay in the running for the home.
