CASPER, Wyo.—Wyoming has received a verbal commitment from Western Nebraska Community College forward Francisco Cruz.
Cruz says he will join Wyoming next season in Laramie.
He says he believes he can help the Cowboys, who are shooting just 27.5 percent from 3-point range this season.
Cruz earned National Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Week honors last month after scoring 41 points in a game against Eastern Wyoming.
He is averaging 19.7 points per game and has made 67 of 142 3-point attempts, or 47.2 percent.
