When the Avalanche resumes practice this afternoon, four players who were sidelined before the Olympic break will be back on the ice.
Kyle Cumiskey, Matt Hendricks, Milan Hejduk and captain Adam Foote have all been medically cleared by the team and will be on hand at Family Sport Center in Centennial.
Hejduk had been out the longest, after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Cumiskey had a concussion, Hendricks had an ankle problem and Foote missed the final game before the break with back spasms.
Their returns means Colorado currently has just one player – right wing David Jones – on the injured list. Jones remains out with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The Avalanche will resume their regular-season schedule Monday against the Detroit Red Wings at the Pepsi Center.
