Denver police are asking the public’s help in finding a bank robbery suspect.

An arrest warrant had been issued for 38-year-old Darrell Wordworth, Denver police said in a media release.

Wordworth is suspected of robbing five banks since Jan. 1, most recently the Key Bank, 2776 Speer Blvd., last Thursday.

At the Key Bank the robber showed a teller a handgun and threatened her, police said.

Police describe Wordworth as an African-American man, 5-feet 7-inches tall and 190 pounds. He has a beard, wears his hair in dreadlocks and has numerous tattoos, police said.

Wordworth is believed to armed and is considered dangerous by police. Anyone with information on Wordworth, or who knows his whereabouts, should not approach or confront him.
