TEHRAN — Iran’s supreme leader said the opposition has lost credibility and the right to participate in politics by not accepting the June presidential elections, state TV reported Thursday.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said those who do not accept the vote of the majority of the people and are trying to turn the elections into a weakness for the country should be disqualified from participating in the Islamic system.
“They have already lost their credibility,” he said, without mentioning any names.
