HARTFORD, Conn. — Tina Charles scored a season-high 33 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as top-ranked Connecticut beat No. 13 Georgetown 84-62 on Saturday for its 68th consecutive victory, just two shy of its own record for the longest winning streak in women’s Division I basketball.
Charles hit 14-of-16 shots in her final regular-season home game. She also blocked three shots for the Huskies (29-0, 15-0), who secured their 18th Big East regular-season title.
