LITTLETON, Colo.—Classes are back in session at a suburban Denver school for the first time since a gunman wounded two students in the parking lot last week.

Deer Creek Middle School, about 3 miles from the site of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings, opened for a few hours Friday for students who wanted to talk to counselors or pick up items left behind, but Monday was the first day of classes.

Thirty-two-year-old Bruco (BROO’-so) Strong Eagle Eastwood was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is being held under $1 million cash bail in the Feb. 23 shootings.

He is due in court again Tuesday.
