Kenyon Martin will miss some time due to his knee injury, but the Nuggets power forward plans to return at some point either in the regular season or the postseason, a league source said.
Martin will receive platelet rich plasma therapy for his left knee patella tendonitis.
Numerous physicians are consulting the results and Martin will likely hear soon from his primary knee doctor, Richard Steadman of Vail.
Martin, who has already undergone two microfracture knee surgeries, is having one of his better NBA seasons, averaging 11.8 points and 9.6 rebounds.
