Outlook: Stallions are defending 4A state champions and were ranked No. 1 the entire season. . . . Sierra’s only losses are to 5A No. 1 seeds Fountain-Fort Carson and Montbello. . . . Since starting the season banged up and 0-3, the Rangers are 21-2. Both losses were against Sierra. With everyone healthy, the Rangers lost 63-53 in overtime to the Stallions on Feb. 11. . . . Scott, a transfer from Discovery Canyon, had 28 points, 16 rebounds and blocked three shots in the quarterfinals.
PUEBLO EAST VS. LONGMONT, 5:30 p.m.
Who: Pueblo East Eagles (24-1, 13-1 South Central) vs. Longmont Trojans (24-2, 14-2 Northern).
Coaches: Dave Ryder, Pueblo East, sixth season; Jeff Kloster, Longmont, 16th season.
Key players: Pueblo East — Jordan Gregory, Jr., 18.7 points; Mitch Secora, Sr., 13.2; Mike Fabrizio, Sr., 8.6. Longmont — Syd Donaldson, 18.8 points; Cade Kloster, Jr., 17.2; Marcus Donaldson, Jr., 6.2.
Final Four appearances (since format change in 2004): Pueblo East, first; Longmont, second.
Outlook: Eagles defeated Broomfield 68-63 in overtime to advance. Gregory scored 10 of Pueblo East’s 12 overtime points, finishing with 28. . . . Eagles’ only loss this season was Jan. 29 to Pueblo Central. Gregory did not play in the game. . . . Longmont has won 16 consecutive games since losing to Northridge. . . . Trojans finished second in Northern League in regular season, but won the conference tournament. . . . Trojans have held teams to under 50 points 18 times this season.
