Bang Salon is celebrating a decade in business by doubling the size of its Washington Park salon at 1207 E. Alameda Ave. Owners Rodger and Lisa Garcia had been planning the expansion for a while and were excited to create a more open feel in the now-3,000-square-foot salon, adding such features as an “inspiration room” for its stylists and a booking room to serve customers. Rodger Garcia custom-built some of the furniture, including a turquoise-colored concrete table where clients can sit.
