LINCOLN—It could be easier to discover how much government groups in Nebraska spend on legal settlements like one between Papillion and the aide of a now-former mayor. On Friday, lawmakers gave first-round approval to a bill (LB742) that would make changes to ensure such settlements are publicized. By Nate Jenkins.
