Three burglary suspects’ taste for Smiling Moose Delis in the metro region was their ultimate undoing, when two of the men were arrested outside the Erie shop this week, Arvada police said Thursday.
Shawn Edwards, 30, and Dion Marquez, 18, both of Northglenn, had gone to the Smiling Moose on Monday in Erie not long after an early-morning break-in at the Arvada location.
An alleged accomplice, Eric Olmstead, 23, was arrested at his home in Federal Heights on Wednesday, police said.
Metro police departments have recorded 15 after-hours burglaries at Smiling Moose Delis in the region since December, including at franchises in Arvada, Westminster, Erie, Louisville and Centennial. Some of the stores were hit more than once.
