Polishing your Highland jewel?

Organizers of the “Jewels of Highlands House Tour” happening on Mother’s Day weekend are now looking for up to a dozen homes in the north Denver neighborhood to include in the one-day, five-hour event. Victorian homes like The Lumber Baron Inn, left, are welcome, but all houses, regardless of size, age or architectural style, will be considered. The annual tour is a fundraiser for Skinner Middle School and helps fill the gaps in school funding. This year’s tour will include an artisan and craft sale arranged by the Highlands Mommies Business Group. To find out more, contact tour founder Walter Keller at The Lumber Baron Inn by calling 303-477-8205.
