A Fort Lupton man was convicted of first-degree murder Tuesday for shooting his cousin in the head in 2008.
Norberto Abundez, 43, had told deputies he shot his cousin, Jesus Abundez-Plige, at his Platteville home because he suspected his cousin was having an affair with Abundez’s wife.
Abundez was sentenced immediately Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
