The last time Colorado saw Phish, seen here playing the fourth night of a four-night Red Rocks stand, they made some memories. The band is coming back to Colorado, this time to Telluride for a couple shows. Reverb file photo by Lindsey McWilliams.

It’s 100 percent official, phanboys and girls. will play two nights at Telluride this summer.

The band just released the news in a press release this evening. The jam band will kick off the tour at Chicago’s Toyota Park on June 11, and it will include mountain plays Aug. 9-10 at Telluride Town Park. The southwestern Colorado shows — alongside three dates at Berkeley, Calif.’s, Greek Theatre Aug. 5-7 — are already widely considered the tour’s most anticipated shows by fans on message boards.

The press release quoted a Denver Post review of the band’s last Colorado play, which included four nights at Red Rocks: “(Phish) raced through some of its most technical, risky compositions, ducking and diving in four-way syncopation that illuminated the many hours the band has spent rehearsing … In fact, everything is back on the table now, with Phish’s historic four-nighter at Red Rocks already revealing a stronger-than-ever band willing to tear down and rebuild old favorites.”
