Historic women

Wednesday. Costumed interpreters will impart insights into the lives of some of the area’s most influential women as the Molly Brown House Museum, 1340 Pennsylvania St., hosts a special Women’s History Month evening event. A costumed version of “The Unsinkable” Margaret Tobin Brown will entertain the likes of Augusta Tabor, Justina Ford, Emily Griffith, Mary Elitch Long and Agnes Vaille. The evening includes taking tea and shortbread with Mrs. Brown in her third-floor ballroom, and will be followed by a book signing that will feature two Colorado authors, Debra Faulkner and Joyce Lohse. Sugar and spice

Ongoing. Since 1920, Hammond’s Candies has been producing candy canes, ribbon candy, chocolate Easter eggs, lollipops, toffee and more at its Denver factory at 5735 N. Washington St. Most of these treats are produced the same way they were 90 years ago, and visitors can watch the process for free.
