University of Wyoming wrestler Joe LeBlanc went 1-1 on Saturday at the NCAA championships in Omaha to finish fourth, and Northern Colorado’s Justin Gaethje won his seventh-place match.

LeBlanc won an 8-3 decision over Clayton Foster of Oklahoma State in the wrestleback semifinals at 184 pound to earn a place in the third-place match, where he lost 7-2 to Michael Cannon of American.

Gaethje won a decision over Steven Brown of Central Michigan 12-7.

Wisconsin’s Tyler Graff, a four-time state champion at Loveland High School, claimed fifth place at 133 pounds with a 5-3 win over Dan Mitcheff of Kent State. Another four-time Colorado prep champion, Bucknell’s Kevin LeValley of Limon, won his seventh- place match with a 5-0 decision of Kyle Borshoff of American.

Iowa won a third straight team title with 134.5 points, far ahead of Cornell and Iowa State.

DU rallies to down Stony Brook.

The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team (4-4) rallied from four goals down to beat Stony Brook (4-2) 13-12 in New York. It was the Pioneers’ first road win and the Seawolves’ first home loss of the season.

Charley Dickerson got the game-winner with 2:37 left after he received a pass at the goal mouth and used a spin move to deke the goaltender.
