Former U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy shot a 6-under-par 65 on Saturday at the Transitions Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla., but more amazing was his inadvertent cross-country flight prior. Thinking he had missed the cut, Ogilvy flew home to Arizona and turned around within an hour to get back to Florida. Ogilvy wound up sleeping for about an hour from the time he left Florida until he returned. Why even bother coming back? “It’s the right thing to do?” said Ogilvy, who had to arrange a private jet for his return trip. “I never even considered not coming back.” The Associated Press
