AURORA, Colo.—Tea-party protesters are working on a new strategy after months of protesting a health care overhaul in Congress appear to have failed.
A group called Tea Party Patriots is expecting more than 100 people at a strategy session in Aurora Tuesday night. The meeting is planned just hours after President Barack Obama is expected to sign into law a sweeping health care change.
An organizer for the tea party groups says members will talk about what to do now that the health care debate appears to be ending. Members will talk about plans for this fall’s elections and strategies to boot lawmakers who favored the health care expansion.
