CENTENNIAL, Colo.—Prosecutors say a man faces life in prison after being convicted of beating a man with a hammer at his Aurora apartment to rob him.
Prosecutors say 20-year-old Terrance J. Harris attacked 27-year-old Shanko Sado Woticha in 2008 while he slept and had planned to take money from him. Authorities say Harris did not find any money but took Woticha’s shorts as a trophy.
Police say the money was under the bed Woticha was sleeping when he was beaten.
Harris was convicted of murder, assault, aggravated robbery and other charges. Arapahoe County prosecutors announced the verdict over the weekend.
