Water-quality test results suggest that sewage that spilled at Denver International Airport last week never flowed off airport property, officials said Monday.

The sewage overflowed a manhole after a pump-station malfunction and got into Third Creek, which leads to canals and other waterways that flow toward Barr Lake.

Workers created several dams on waterways that feed into Barr Lake on the north edge of DIA’s property.
