BEIRUT — Osama bin Laden’s teenage daughter has left Iran after living under house arrest there since her family fled Afghanistan in 2001, her family said Tuesday.
Iman bin Laden, 18, arrived in Syria last week to live with her mother, according to the girl’s brother, Omar, and his wife, Zaina Alsabah.
“She is fine now,” Alsabah, 54, said from Britain. The teen had been at the Saudi embassy in Tehran for months after she ran away from her Iranian guards. Many of bin Laden’s children escaped to Iran after the 2001 U.S.-led Afghan invasion.
