AMES, Iowa — Kelsey Bolte scored 15 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:11 left, and Iowa State held on to beat Wisconsin- Green Bay 60-56 on Tuesday night in the second round of the women’s NCAA Tournament.

For the victory, the Cyclones (25-7) are rewarded with a date against unbeaten Connecticut in Dayton, Ohio, on Sunday.

Xavier 63, Vanderbilt 62

CINCINNATI — Amber Harris scored the last six points for the Musketeers (29-3), including the go-ahead layup with 12.3 seconds left.

Vanderbilt (23-11) had two shots to win it. Lauren Lueders missed from the top of the key, and Jence Rhoads got the rebound and put up a shot from the left of the basket. The ball hit both sides of the hoop before wiggling out.

Connecticut 90, Temple 36

NORFOLK, Va. — The Huskies held Temple to 12 points and took a 43-point lead into halftime.

PITTSBURGH — The Lady Bulldogs (21-12) seized control with an 18-0 run that turned a 32-26 deficit into a 44-32 lead.
