This has to be one of the stranger choices TV network execs have faced: Jerry Springer or Octomom?

The Game Show Network execs had to weigh just that when they were looking for the host of a new dating show.

Octomom Nadya Sulemen was in contention for the job until talks broke down, Radaronline reports.

The reason, it appears, is because the network found someone it likes better: talk-show veteran Springer.

The former mayor of Cincinnati, better known as the host of his “The Jerry Springer Show,” which was replete with odd confessions, chair-throwing and hair-pulling, will host the new “Baggage” show.

Three contestants will try to win a date but first must spill all their failings. They will also drive the show’s point home by lugging suitcases on stage.

When the final contestant is chosen, the date will then have to reveal his or her own baggage.

No word yet if Suleman will make an appearance as a participant.

More bad news for the estate of the late model and stripper Anna Nicole Smith.

The state of California has filed a $45,308 tax lien against Smith’s estate for a 2008 delinquency, TMZ reports. She died in 2007.

Last week a U.S. Court of Appeals rejected the estate’s claim that she was entitled to $300 million from the estate of her late husband, J. Howard Marshall. Marshall, a wealthy oil tycoon, was married to Smith for the final 14 months of his life. He died in 1995 at age 90.

Madonna is moving back to London after rekindling her love for Britain, The Sun reports.

It’s less than a year since the pop star returned to New York while her marriage to Guy Ritchie was in full meltdown.

But she has reportedly rediscovered her love for Britain while preparing to direct her new film “W.E.” about the 1930s tale of Edward VIII abdicating the throne to marry his forbidden lover, American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Ritchie is reportedly thrilled at the news because it means he will be able to see his chidren Rocco and David Banda almost every day.

Meanwhile, passers-by in New York this week might be surprised to see a poster of Madge doing dishes.

Things haven’t really come to that for the pop star.

The poster hanging in the Dolce & Gabbana store window is advertising their spring collection.

The shoot reportedly was inspired by the 1951 Visconti movie “Bellisima,” and Madonna is imitating Anna Magnani as a common housewife scrubbing dishes.

In an art-inspires-life-inspires-art moment, in the movie, the housewife is a stage mother trying desperately to get her pretty daughter into show business.

Lindsay Lohan is hooking up with Ed Hardy.

The actress is in talks to launch a new collection of handbags with her favorite clothing line, reports E! Online.

“Lindsay and the design team at Ed Hardy have mutual friends, and they knew she was interested in looking for a handbag license and partner,” a source said. “They thought she’d be a good fit and so did she.”

The 23-year-old actress’ new partnership comes weeks after she was let go as artistic director for French fashion brand Emanuel Ungaro.

Lohan also has her own line of leggings called 6126.

Though Lohan worked in the handbag business when she modeled for Dooney & Bourke in 2004, and again for Jill Stuart in 2007, this new venture with Ed Hardy would mark her first time working behind the scenes, E! reports.
