The thought of kids with cancer will definitely give you the blues. However, the thought that kids with cancer playing electric guitars and singing the blues was a worthy idea, so they made it happen.
They also made a great blues line-up happen at their fundraiser on Sunday at the . The show featured a long line-up of blues performers, but most notably harp-man and Kansas City-based . The show also featured kids who have benefited from the work of the Blue Star Connection, a non-profit that brings instruments, lessons and access to live shows to sick kids.
New favorites of the national blues scene Trampled Under Foot — a “three piece family blues band with two lefty guitar players” — features siblings Nick, Kris and Danielle Schnebelen and a lot of infectious energy and groove.
