GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—A boy accused of selling his father’s medical marijuana at Carbondale Middle School has agreed to a plea deal in Garfield County Court.
The boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of between 1 ounce and 8 ounces of marijuana. Deputy District Attorney Tony Hershey recommended a deferred judgment. The boy originally was charged with distribution and possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana.
Carbondale police arrested the boy after a report that he had sold marijuana at the school. His name wasn’t released because he is a juvenile, and it’s unclear if he attended the school.
The boy has been released from home detention.
