The FBI on Thursday announced the arrest of the so-called Tom Thumb Bandit.
Denver police arrested Robert Cole, 47, on Friday, while investigating the robbery of the First Bank at 370 17th St. in Denver.
The nickname Tom Thumb Bandit was sparked by a bank surveillance photo that showed the robber had a bandaged thumb.
Cole is being held in jail, accused of robbing six downtown Denver banks in the past year.
