packed CD release party at the on Friday was a testament to the buzz the Denver songwriter has lately generated. And with good reason — Ball’s debut full-length, “Dial Tone,” is a leap forward in both songwriting and playing, and Ball recently returned from a well-received stint at South by Southwest.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that she’s also seriously photogenic. Brian Carney, our Reverb photographer, counted half a dozen cameras (still and video) swirling around the front of the stage, with rumors of some of the footage ending up in a documentary.
