The Avalanche will get two key forwards back in the lineup for Friday’s showdown matchup with the Calgary Flames.

Brandon Yip and Stephane Yelle will return to play in the game that could largely decide the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference NHL playoffs.

Coach Joe Sacco indicated Yip, who had 10 goals before suffering a shoulder injury a month ago, will skate on a third line and Yelle will center the fourth line.

Sacco also said he will play defenseman Kyle Quincey after making him a healthy scratch Wednesday night.

Sacco he would decide Friday who he’d scratch from the defensive rotation.
