DENVER—A judge has indicated she will allow cameras in the courtroom for the sentencing for Willie Clark, the man convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
Denver District Judge Christina Habas said Friday that attorneys have until April 12 to file objections before she makes the order final.
Clark faces life in prison at his April 30 sentencing.
Defense attorney Darren Cantor objected to what he called “ambush journalism” during earlier proceedings. He says some journalists circumvented restrictions on getting video images of Clark.
Cantor also says he’s concerned about Clark’s ability to get a fair trial in another case.
Prosecutors expressed concerns about media images of any trial witnesses who are present.
