Rain in Denver late tonight will likely turn into snow, and the city could see up to 3 inches accumulation as temperatures plunge into the 20s.
Winds overnight in Denver could gust up to 44 mph and the chance for overnight precipitation is 70 percent, according to the National Weather Service.
In the mountains overnight, snow will be heavy at times and up to 10 inches of new snow is possible above 9,000 feet, the weather service said. Winds in the foothills could gust to 50 mph.
Snow could mix with rain Wednesday morning in Denver under mostly cloudy skies. The chance for precipitation – 20 percent – on Wednesday should decrease as the day goes on. The high temperature in the city Wednesday should be about 46 degrees, the weather service reports.
The low temperature overnight Wednesday in Denver should be about 31 degrees. By Thursday skies over the city are expected to be sunny and the high temperature should top out at about 62 degrees.
