Passenger traffic at Denver International airport rose 5.1 percent in February compared to February 2009.

There were 3,700,975 travelers passing through DIA in February, airport officials reported today. On the heels of January’s record passenger traffic, this year’s total is off to a 4 percent increase over the first two months of last year.

Aviation Manager Kim Day attributed the increase to “incredibly competitive fares in the Denver market, as well as an economic rebound that is beginning to take shape within our industry.”
