A week from today in Aurora, the state organization will have the second of its two annual governing meetings. Two proposals of note should be among the highlights.
One will involve head trauma in terms of coaches being further educated in how to identify and deal with potential problems by athletes. The second is a direct result of the economy and had been discussed in a prior gathering — a 10 percent reduction in the number of regular-season contests, save for football.
The latter won’t be popular.
