Justin Neuhaus of Colorado Christian University has accepted an invitation to play at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, an important predraft event for NBA hopefuls.
Neuhaus, a 6-foot-11 center, got the invitation when Duke center Brian Zoubek vacated one of the 63 spots in the April 7-10 tournament played in front of scouts for all 30 NBA teams. Neuhaus is one of only four Division II players invited to the event.
CU’s Talley wins Big 12 honor.
University of Colorado sophomore Emily Talley was named the Big 12 golfer of the month for March after recording three top-11 finishes, including a third place at the MountainView Collegiate Invitational in Tucson.
• Espen Kofstad of the University of Denver was one of the Sun Belt Conference’s co-players of the month after ninth- and 16th-place finishes in March.
