$13.98 per 12-pack sampler that includes three other seasonal beers

As the American palate becomes more adventurous and more dollars are spent in that pursuit, the more the craft-brewing industry attracts the attention of the giant beer companies, and the more people are turned on to beer’s kaleidoscopic possibilities. This happy spiral has led Anheuser-Busch to turn its Michelob brand into a craft- beer arm, and its latest seasonal is Ginger Wheat, a refreshing ale. This unfiltered beer pours a hazy golden amber with plenty of carbonation and an off-white head. Wheat, citrus and spice are evident in the aroma, and it’s crisp and light on the palate, notes of orange, clove and ginger unfolding. A thin, clean mouthfeel gives it good drinkability for a session. Or try pairing it with Asian food. Alcohol by volume of 5.2 percent shouldn’t slow you down. Crabtree Brewing Co., Greeley; .
