A 27-year-old snowboarder found dead by a Summit County ski patrol Wednesday afternoon has been identified as Todd M. Dunkel of Federal Heights.
He was found amid some trees off the Sawmill run on Peak 8 at Breckenridge Ski Resort about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sawmill has a “blue” skill-level rating. Summit County coroner Joanne Richardson said in an e-mail that an X-ray showed that Dunkel had a broken neck.
