Kohl’s says it will convert nearly half of its 23 stores in Colorado to solar power by the end of the year. The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based retailer says solar installations are underway or complete at four stores in Colorado. Six more stores should have construction starting in coming months.

Each store will have more than 530 solar panels that will make about 15 percent of the store’s energy. The company says it plans to continue looking for new ways to use solar power nationwide. The Denver Post
