RAPID CITY, S.D.—Federal prosecutors say two men face charges that include conspiracy and fraud for attracting investors to a computer business but using the money elsewhere.
Indicted were 62-year-old Arland Clark of Spearfish and 65-year-old Ron Jones, who lives in Colorado and Germany.
Prosecutors say the two collected millions of dollars but used little of it for their business project. Instead, prosecutors say Jones used money for trips, gifts and other personal expenses and Clark used it to recruit new investors.
Separately, Clark and his wife, Mary Clark, are charged with tax evasion.
All have pleaded not guilty. No trial date is set.
