LAFAYETTE, Colo.—A bus driver involved in a collision that killed a cyclist had a citation seven years ago for another incident involving a cyclist.

Sixty-seven-year-old Paul John Johnson of Westminster faces a misdemeanor charge of careless driving resulting in death for the April 6 collision. Forty-two-year-old Marvin “Chip” Webb died at a hospital.

Regional Transportation District spokesman Scott Reed says Johnson was cited for careless driving after an incident in Boulder in June 2003. Reed says the 2003 incident involved a cyclist who pulled up to Johnson’s bus at a red light, knocked on his window and told him he had brushed up against him.
