A fisherman along in Cherry Creek State Park spotted a body face down in the reservoir along Dam Road this afternoon, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department.
The man has not been identified and did not have any obvious identification when he was pulled from the reservoir at about 3 p.m., said Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Bureau Chief Bruce Williams.
He did, however, have a bus pass, but as of Friday evening investigators had not been able to link the name to any missing persons.
Evidence also indicated he might have been in the water for an extended period of time, but there was no evidence that indicated a crime occurred, Williams said.
“We’re thinking, at this point, he might be homeless or a transient, based on the clothing he was wearing and some other factors,” he said.
